Software and digital resources

e-Learning Credit Purchases
For the past three years the LA has agreed with Primary schools to purchase whole school licences to software and digital resources using e-Learning Credits funding.  The purchases are listed on the CGfL. 

STOP PRESS
LA has purchased 2Publish+ for all Primary Schools and is currently waiting on a latest version for the install.

Every Primary School to get an on site Consultant support day.

They include a range of 2Simple titles: 05-06 2Calculate, Music Toolkit, Devtray for 06-07 (Summary sheet) 2Create, 2Create a Story, 2Connect and 2Investigate and for 07-08 2Paint a Picture  (see 2Simple QCA Map and below for use).  These complement the provision of the Espresso service and other titles such as Kar2ouche which can provide valuable support for Literacy and Mathematics.

Hands on Support *Continuing in 2008-09
All of these resources have been the subject of PD Days and school visits as part of the Hands on Support programme.  Materials 'Project Resources' to support the programme are available from HoS menu and specifically 2Investigate, Kar2ouche, 2Paint a Picture, 2Create* and 2Publish+* *Newly added Autumn 2008.


Online Content -Video overview
All schools have access from school to the high quality content on the LGfL. Including the award winning Talking Stories developed with 2Simple.  The content grid features links to all LGfL hosted content for London schools. Provision of a classroom computer internet connected and or with display projector or IWB is a local matter, however...

Folders and resources

Personal area to save files
=Shared area with learning and teaching resources
=Printing (when appropriate)

With IWB or Projector
=SMART tools

Readers
=Adobe Acrobat

Basic tools
=Wordprocessor, Spreadsheet, Graphics, Sound recorder, Music (Audacity)
=ALL the e-Learning Credit purchase titles and eServices (see opposite) including searching on Living Library *LA Support ending

Plugins
=Flash, DivX,  Active X, Shockwave, Quicktime and Java

Media players
=Quicktime, Windows Media player and Real Player

 Contact the ICT Service.

If you are missing any of the elements mentioned here then you should log a request with the ICT Service for your ICT Technician to carry out an install.
