Foundation Subjects
Every topic should have a research task, a vehicle to develop the skills which are key to becoming an independent learner. Pupils should be encouraged to use Living Library a search environment which will provide relevant suggestions for answers and sources of further information. All Camden Primary and selected Special schools have a subscription to the service. Unlike the Google search engine pupils can be left with the confidence that they will not be presented with inappropriate outcomes. The sheets here from Brookfield school (in MS Publisher format) provide a scaffold for differentiated search tasks. Use them to produce your own templates for staff to customise and complete with tasks to support their foundation subject topics. |
