The National Co-ordinators of Governor Services (NCOGS) has developed a national quality mark for school governance called Governor Mark. The quality mark process can be used to assist governing bodies with assessing their overall effectiveness and working practices.

Governing bodies can look at the criteria against which they can assess their effectiveness by visiting the link above.
