In Maths, students have covered four topics: Number, Algebra, Shape and Space and Data Handling. In addition, they have produced two pieces of coursework.

Work involving rational numbers has been an integral part of the curriculum.  Students use appropriate mathematical vocabulary and relate their understanding to real life situations. With classroom discussions and the modelling of various thinking strategies, the students have recognized that there are different methods for working through mathematical problems.

Students were also introduced to key concepts of algebraic thinking such as integers, variables and equations.  The students also learned how to interpret graphs in order to explain situations as well to create graphs of given situations.

Students produced two pieces of coursework that demonstrated their abilities to investigate relationships as well as analyzing data and making their own conclusions.
