- To cover 14 of the main occupational sectors
- Introduction of first 5 from 2008
- Designed to provide a good basis for progression to University
- Mix of theory and practical -appealing to different learning styles
- To be available as an entitlement at three levels (1, 2 and 3)
- Level 3 graded and comparable to 3 A levels

Draft final Line of Learning statements for these have now been endorsed for publication. These set the parameters for Principal Learning content and are available to download from the Diploma Development Partnership websites.
Final versions of both the Line of Learning statements and criteria will be published in July 2008.
