Red Nose day or Comic Relief was first launched live in 1985 on BBC television. Since then it has been very successful. Sixty percent of Red Nose Day money raised is spent in Africa and forty percent here in the UK. “This year we are hoping to raise more than £1,500. We will be having many funny events such as a doughnut eating competition, without licking sugar of the lips, joke notice boards, selling red food and guess the staff baby photo”, said Ms Horowitz.
