Grids showing the progression within each of the strands of the renewed framework for mathematics are now available to download and print as requested at the Year 5 training.

The objectives in each strand for Foundation Stage to Year 6 have been organised to show the progression of specific skills/knowledge (NB some objectives had to be separated into smaller parts to achieve this).

These tables can now be used to track objectives forwards and backwards across the age range.

They can be used to help with differentiation (both supporting and challenging learning) and filling gaps identified from the Review lessons of the renewed framework for mathematics. 

• The tables are colour coded by strand.
• Key objectives for each year group are blue and italic.
• Written calculation methods are underlined in the calculating strand grid.
• Links between similar skills in different strands have been identified.
