CANCELLATION OF PRODUCTION OF WEST SIDE STORY - 7TH - 9TH JANUARY 2009
It is with regret that the West Side Story production has had to be cancelled.
The decision to cancel the show has not been taken lightly and follows a number of unforeseeable events,
not least of which is the lead breaking his ankle, that have left us with no alternative.
Due to the forthcoming exam season, it has been impossible to reschedule.
This has obviously led to a number of very disappointed pupils who, along with Miss Woodward,
have put an enormous amount of time, effort and energy into preparing for the production.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the cast members and Miss Woodward for all their
hard work and enthusiasm they have put into rehearsals.
Their commitment has been commendable and it is a disappointment to all at Hurstmere that the decision to cancel has been made.
