YEAR 11 – SUMMARY OF GCSE/VOCATIONAL RESULTS
PROVISIONAL SUMMARY 2004 – 2008

Once again this year’s examination results are very pleasing with some outstanding individual success stories.  The percentage of boys
achieving 5 A*-C including vocational courses is 64%.  There were almost 200 A* and A grades awarded to our boys, our highest ever
number of top grades by some distance.  Both Mathematics and English gained at least 50% A*-C, although a few more boys than usual
gained only one of the two.  A number of appeals have been submitted in this respect.  Our new Science courses proved highly successful
with over 60% of Hurstmere boys gaining A*-C in a Science subject.  A breakdown of the results by subject is available from the school.
