Effective Use of Additional Funding

The School has used the additional funding the Sports College status has brought to:

• Refit the gymnasium and changing rooms
• Refit the fitness room and its development as a physical activity centre.
• Bought in specialist coaches.- Employed one more main school PE teacher.
• Resourced the staff development necessary to deliver the enhanced curriculum
• Bought in advisory support to help particularly with KS2 to KS3 progression.
• Enhanced the role of the Head of PE and provided opportunities for professional development for other members of the PE department.
• A senior member of staff takes on additional management responsibilities involved in our designation as Specialist Sports College.
