About 'Let's Talk About Sex'
This
website was developed as part of Copthall School’s work in achieving
the Barnet Healthy Schools Scheme award for Relationships and
Family Life. Research amongst the students showed a concern
over who they could turn to for reliable information regarding
issues of sex and relationships. It was recognised that teachers
where not always the source that students would chose, for a
variety of reasons. As a result the students suggested the idea
of an anonymous website that could be accessed by all students,
and where answers and information could be given, carefully
researched by a team of sixth form students.
Copthall achieved
the Barnet Healthy Schools Scheme award for Family Life and
Relationships in November 2005 and the website was launched
on March 20th 2006.
The wesbite was the work of a number of
Copthall sixth form students, but particular thanks goes to
Minaal Amin, Anna Martindale and Mandy Stringer for their work
in producing the site. |
