Citizenship Citizenship is an essential part of secondary education. The key message is that students recognise themselves as citizens of a community - their school, locally nationaly and globally. That Citizens have rights and responsibilties to thri community. The purpose of the Citizenship curriculum is to prepare students for an active role in society. Citizenship is delivered through pastoral teaching and across the curriculum. There are specific Citizenship lesson which take place every half term plus a weekly Citizenship discussion in registration time. All subjects also deliver Citizenship in their curriculum plus we have many one-off events and visiting speakers who augment learning within the school.
