Misson Statement of the School

'Maximising Achievement for All'

Our Beliefs

  • We are motivated primarily by our belief in the potential for learning of all our students. All people have a great capacity for learning.

  • We believe that students who have a well-rounded education will lead more fulfilled lives and will make a more positive contribution to society.

  • We believe in equal opportunities for all regardless of ability, ethnicity, colour gender, physical appearance, sexuality, social background or religion. This diversity of students and staff is welcomed and valued.

  • We believe young people in the school bring with them skills, knowledge and understanding already acquired.

Our Aims

  • We aim to provide the finest possible education for every student in order that they may achieve their potential.

  • We aim to recruit the highest quality staff ensuring that they are well trained and motivated.

  • We aim to ‘add more value’ to each child, by enabling academic achievement, through a rigorous approach to learning. We see quantifiable academic results in formal exams – whether SATs, GCSEs or other – as being at the heart of our work.

  • We aim to ensure high standards of behaviour from all members of the school community

  • We aim to create a secure, supportive, well-ordered and happy environment with learning at its centre.

  • We aim to develop the best possible working relationships between staff, students, parents and governors.

  • We aim to create a community where respect and responsibility for self, for others and for the environment pervades all that we do. We foster pride in being members of the school community.

  • We aim to provide the successful development of the whole individual in ALL areas of achievement and to develop, in each student, teamwork and, where appropriate, leadership skills.

  • We aim to prepare each student for adult life and to enable them to play an active role in society including developing the skills of independent learning and being able to adapt confidently to new situations.

  • We aim to monitor evaluate and review our aims to improve them regularly using our current review processes.*
