In April 2013, the LGfL Creative Toolkit was updated to include two new tools J2Launch and J2Bloggy.

The J2Launch tool offers a new interface that can be used to manage links and resources created within and outside of the Creative Toolkit.

Key Features of J2Launch

· A modern and easy to use interface - J2Launch is best place to start to work with any of the other Just2easy tools found within the LGfL Creative Toolkit. For example, information such as the number of files for a teacher to moderate is more clearly displayed.

· Manage resources with ease - J2Launch can be used to share content or tools from around the web. Content can be tagged for easy searching

The J2Bloggy tool is a multi-user multi-site website and blogging platform.

Key Features of J2Bloggy

· J2bloggy allows teachers to provide individual users access to their own self contained web sites and blogs. Once provided, users take full control (and therefore responsibility) for their own sites. They can change all aspects of the site and create and publish work without having to go through a teacher moderated stage.

· The user can grant permission for other users at their school to view and edit the contents.

· J2Bloggy facilitates students in learning key aspects of how to operate in an online document world, whilst remaining in an eSafe environment under the ultimate control of teachers. J2Bloggy websites and blogs can be activated and deactivated only by teachers.

Please note:
J2Bloggy content is NOT teacher moderated before it is published.  This is aimed at the advanced and responsible users.

The LGfL Creative Toolkit includes a number of creative tools including J2E (Publishing), JIT (Infant online toolkit), J2Spotlight (Animation), and J2Vote (Voting system).

These tools are brought together by J2Webby, a simple but powerful teacher moderation system that allows teachers to check all children’s work before it is published online.

Every LGfL connected school has its own Blogging / Publishing site within the Creative Toolkit system which can be customised to look like the school website via the J2Webby tool.

A particular feature of the J2Webby system is the way in which anyone can comment on a blog posting, but the comment will not be made public until the teacher has moderated the comment (via J2Webby)

This is has real potential to engage parents and the wider school community in the work produced by the children in the school.

Watch the HTML5 demo video explaining the way in which the HTML5 version of J2E can be used and integrated with iPads and all integarted within the LGfL USO.
