LGfL has been working in partnership with the Ben Uri Gallery to develop learning resources to support the KS1/2 Art and Citizenship curriculum, although teachers may find the resources work well at Key Stage 3 and beyond.
The teaching resources contain information and points of discussion about works from the collection under the themes of Relationships, Movement and A Sense of Place.
Also included in the resources are examples of how schools have used the content in a number of innovative and creative ways. The Art Skills for Teachers resource provides suggestions and tips for using a variety of art techniques in the Primary School classroom
This new material features high resolution digital photographs from the Ben Uri art collection for use in London Schools
Art Skills for Teachers
These resources have been created to support the teaching of art and design in the classroom. The ideas and techniques can be used to create artworks in response to the Ben Uri Teaching Resources, A Sense of Place, Relationships and Movement.
Please see the 'Previous Project Examples' within each resource, for ideas about the sort of projects you may wish to develop.
