These are the agreements that schools are committed to when signing up to LGfL 2.0.
Data Processing
London Grid for Learning and its suppliers, as Data Processors are legally required by the Data Protection Act 1998 to comply with eight principles of good information handling.
These eight principles state that data must be:
- fairly and lawfully processed
- processed for limited purposes
- adequate, relevant and not excessive
- accurate and up to date
- not kept longer than necessary
- processed in accordance with the individual's rights
- secure
- not transferred to countries outside the European Economic area, unless there is adequate protection
The London Grid for Learning uses leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard your data, and prevent any unauthorised access to it. We do not pass on your details to any third party or government department unless you give us permission to do so, or we are obliged or permitted by law to disclose it.
