Owing to the termination of Harnessing Technology Grant there is a corresponding loss of funding directed by LAs to support schools. Accordingly from August 2011, the LGfL is no longer able to employ a team of LGfL Curriculum Consultants, and sadly these posts have had to be deleted from the LGfL staff complement.
However, if your school wishes to consider commissioning support to maximise the benefit derived from the use of LGfL services and resources, beyond that provided by the LGfL helpdesk, there are several options available:
- Contact your LA and see if they provide support or training for LGfL services
- Check if LGfL or their suppliers are running courses or events that may help you by visiting www.events.lgfl.net
- Check if you have a local school that may be willing to support you by sharing best practice
- Contact LGfL’s approved curriculum consultancy partner 21CLN which has been formed by a group of former LGfL Curriculum Consultants
21st Century Learning Network
21CLN provides bespoke training on LGfL 2.0 services along with curriculum consultancy and provides access to former members of the LGfL Curriculum Consultant team who understand the issues involved from experience and have a unique relationship with the LGfL Trust. Individual schools or clusters can be accommodated. Detailed information on service options, charging and booking is available at the 21CLN website.
