27-07-2012: National Science + Engineering Compeition 2012

The British Science Association is again organising this annual Competition for science and technology teaching staff and students. The online entry portal for The Competition is open between July and October 2012. It is free to enter and is open to individuals or groups of full time students between the ages of 11 and 18 across the UK.

The best project entries are invited to showcase their work to judges and visitors at The Big Bang Fair at the ExCel London in March 2013 – over 55,000 young people attended in 2012.

Finalists will compete for over 30 prizes and international experiences worth over £50,000, including the titles of ‘Young Scientist of the Year’ and ‘Young Engineer of the Year’. The winners get lots of press interest for their school/college and last year were featured in national media outlets including BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4, the BBC Website, The Independent and The Telegraph.
