01-07-2012: Forest Hill Maths Conference - 11th July 2012
The Forest Hill Maths conference will run at Forest Hill School on the 11th of July and is completely free.
The Forest Hill maths department is an extremely successful department whose results have gone from 38% to 81%* at GCSE.
The aims of the conference is to help other maths departments across London. The conference will feature a session that tells the story about how the school has achieved a spectacular increase in attainment since 2005.
In addition, Maria Hoather (National Mathematics Manager for the Edexcel exam board) will be attending to provide a comprehensive and up to date round up of specification changes and other relevant government legislation.
Dr Ian Jones from the prestigious Mathematics center at Loughborough University, is going to be presenting on the inspirational work he is doing around assessment.
